Our Photo Philanthropy Grant Entry

We submitted student photography taken during our first annual Jouk Li Jou Kan Foto this past July for the Community Based Photography category.

Zanmi Lakay was created because of the growing needs of street children in Haiti, and the seed was the Photography Workshops that began in 1997 when I was first living at Lafanmi Selavi and documenting the daily life of the 500 children living at Haiti’s largest and most well known group home.
